Listening to the great rock bands of the 70's and 80's inspired Martin to learn guitar...just so that he could play the music that made the hairs on his arms stand up.

He's been heavily influenced through the years by the classic rock bands of AC/DC, Bad Company and Led Zeppelin, and has always admired the guitar work of Gary Moore and Joe Bonamassa.

He's progressed through several guitars and amps in his time but his favourite sound remains a Gibson Les Paul guitar played through a Marshall valve amp.

Having played in many bands over the years he still gets a buzz out of the music covered by  Sarum's Lot...there's life in the old dog yet!
