In late 2011 Amesbury based guitarist Martin Dawkins and a local bass player met and decided to form a covers band that played 'proper' rock music 'properly'. In early 2012 they welcomed Trevor George to cover drumming duties and frontman Tim Higman to cover vocals...and the band 'From The Ashes' was formed!

For three years the band successfully gigged under this name, but then had a run-in with a London record label who had trademark issues over the band name. The outcome was that in 2015 the band were forced to re-name and following a brief social media poll the band was re-launched as...'Sarum's Lot'!

As the years progressed and following a few changes in bass duties the band fell across the talented Pete Brown to cover playing the bass guitar. Pete also plays in another covers band 'Uncle Jack' which means that he's out gigging nearly all the time, however that probably explains why he has the uncanny ability to be able to play any song ever asked of him!?

A great selection of popular rock classics from across the decades are played by the band... covers from AC/DC through to ZZ Top with everything in-between. The intention of the band is to create such an atmosphere that people can't just sit and listen...they have to nod their head, tap their feet and ultimately get up and move!
